Oregon State flag: The flag of Oregon is the only state flag with different pictures on both sides.  On the back side appears a beaver the official state animal. Both sides have an area of navy blue with printing a golden yellow.  The front picture includes a heart shaped shield with an eagle on top.  The eagle is surrounded by 33 stars.  This signifies the number of states in 1859.  The logo on the shield shows the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean, mountains maybe Mt. Hood, forests and a covered wagon. A plow, wheat and pickax represent farming and mining. Of the two ships: The one leaving is a British ship and the one arriving is a United States ship representing trade. The eagle represents the United States. On a banner are the words "The Union" representing support for the United States. Finally the flag is emblazoned with the words "State of Oregon" above the picture and the date of statehood "1859".  This is a flag that is great for printing.  You have a natural front and back design.

Screen printing and printing projects starts with you the customer. At www.taylormadetshirts.com we offer free art for most of your printing projects.  This is usually the most difficult part of the process and we make it as easy as possible.  Some printers will charge as much as 60.00 per hour for set up.  We offer it as a free service.  We have found this to be a win win situation.  The customer gets free art and we get a customer that is happy with the service and hopefully get a customer for many years.

Here is a quick explanation of the screen printing process at taylormadetshirts.com which is located in Portland Oregon.  Once you have chosen art to be printed onto the custom t-shirt, or other fabric. The art file is then sent to the art department. The art department is in charge of creating a copy onto clear proofs called film. The art mock ups are approved by you, and then sent back to the graphics division, who prepares the screens for screen printing. The screens are first covered with a photosensitive emulsion. Then the screen is left to dry and is exposed to a 3000 watt metal halide light on a vacuum light table. The next step is to wash the screens out with a pressure washer at about 1300 psi. The image is then double checked with the copy proofs. Each color on the proof needs its own screen and must be set up individually.
