Prices do vary on the amount of work and your specifications.  Make sure you know what the hourly fee will be and ask for an estimate.  Many designers will put a cap on the overall fee. This is another fact that you should accept. Will there be any extra charges?   On some projects they are unavoidable because of the changing nature of the design process.
